Year 3 News

19th June 2026

What an incredible term it has been for Year 3, full of creativity, curiosity, and achievement across every subject.

From building confidence in rehearsals through to performing on stage in The Goblin Next Door, the children showed fantastic teamwork and confidence in delivering such an amazing performance.

Our learning has also taken us beyond the classroom. A visit to the Kericho Gold Factory helped deepen our understanding of tea production in Kenya, bringing our topic learning to life in a meaningful way.

In science, we became young investigators—exploring soil permeability and comparing rock densities through hands-on experiments. In history about space exploration, the children designed their own rockets and created detailed sketches of Neil Armstrong, showing great imagination and historical understanding.

Mathematics has seen great progress as pupils mastered telling the time to the minute, building confidence with real-life application of their skills. In English, the children have been developing the art of persuasion, learning how to express their ideas clearly and convincingly.

We have so much to celebrate this term, and Year 3 should feel incredibly proud of everything they have achieved. Well done!
