The energy in the Key Stage 1 classrooms has been absolutely electric this week. It is wonderful to see the children return with such massive smiles and a real hunger for learning. Here is a snapshot of what we have been up to:
Our young mathematicians have been diving deep into multiplication and division. We aren't just reciting times tables; the children are showing a truly sophisticated understanding of grouping and sharing to solve complex problems. Meanwhile, across the entire Key Stage, we are seeing fantastic progress in writing. From creative storytelling to factual reports, the stamina and care put into their work shine through.
History and Geography have taken center stage! We’ve been inspired by the lives of Famous People who changed the world. Year 2 has also "boarded a flight" to China, exploring its rich culture and landmarks. Their curiosity about the wider world is simply brilliant.
The corridors are buzzing with the sound of rehearsals. Production practices are officially underway! The children are incredibly proud to be memorizing their lines, and their confidence on stage is growing every single day. We cannot wait for you to see the final result.
In Computing, we have moved on to Google Classroom, and the children have taken to it with such enthusiasm! They are now happily using the platform to complete their assigned work and are doing a brilliant job of responding to teachers' instructions digitally. A major milestone has been reached as they’ve mastered the new skill of sending digital messages to their teachers. Seeing them interact so safely and effectively with technology has been a real highlight of the week!
It is going to be an amazing term ahead. Thank you for your continued support in making our school such a vibrant place to learn!
