EYFS News - Celebrating Diversity

In Early Years, the children have been learning about the different countries that they come from. In FS1, we learnt about and made flags from our countries during art lessons. We made the Kenya, Uganda, France, Denmark, United Kingdom, and German flags. The children also learnt special things about the different countries, these include: The gorillas from Uganda, breakfast croissants from France, tea from Kenya, , castles in Germany, Legoland in Denmark and the different seasons in the United Kingdom. The children made maasai paper necklaces, gorillas from Uganda and castles.

We had a special day in school to celebrate our countries. The children came to school dressed in colours from their different countries. They made bracelets, drank Kenyan tea and ate croissants and cup cakes. . The children have been very excited to learn about different countries that we come from.
