Celebrating Achievement at the Dragon Award Ceremony

Earlier this week, we were proud to host our inaugural Dragon Award Ceremony, a special event recognising the dedication and resilience of our students across the school. The Dragon Award, a Braeburn group initiative, is designed to encourage young people to step outside their comfort zones, set intentional goals and develop valuable life skills.
Students worked towards four key areas: community service, physical activity, a skill, and an expedition. Over the course of the year, they showed outstanding commitment to these challenges, whether through volunteering in their communities, learning new skills, taking on physical challenges, or participating in memorable expeditions.
The ceremony was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their achievements, share inspiring stories and award certificates to those who completed their respective levels. Alongside their certificates, students proudly received Dragon Award badges — colourful embroidered keepsakes that they can sew onto their bags, pencil cases or jackets as a lasting reminder of their hard work and determination.
We are incredibly proud of every participant and look forward to seeing even more students take part next year.
