Braeburn Mombasa International School (BMIS) offers a range of scholarships that recognise and reward exceptional achievements. These scholarships provide deserving students with an opportunity to pursue their passions and excel in their chosen fields of interest. At BMIS, we passionately believe in equal opportunities for all students, which is why we are enhancing our scholarship offering by being both merit-based and means-tested. This ensures that students from all backgrounds have access to a world-class education, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Our commitment to nurturing well-rounded individuals extends beyond academics, as we also equip our students with the skills and values necessary to succeed in the global community. With a supportive and inspiring environment, BMIS empowers students to reach their full potential and become leaders in their respective fields.

BMIS Scholarship Programme

The BMIS Scholarship Programme allows students to enjoy the benefits of a BMIS education regardless of economic circumstance. We believe that a socially diverse student population is a key component of an international and balanced education. We are committed to providing financial assistance to students as a community benefit and to enable BMIS to access a more diverse range of students.

The BMIS Scholarship Programme is both merit-based and means-tested. The award covers between 20-100% of the tuition fees for the duration of their Secondary education (Year 7 and above) but will be reviewed annually to ensure that the student’s performance and conduct still merits the award.

Students will be selected based on promise and potential, demonstrated through academic and extracurricular achievement. We encourage applications from students who will make positive contributions to the BMIS community through service, action, and participation in school life.

Scholarships are intended for students who demonstrate an elevated level of academic ability and work ethic. In assessing suitability for the school, BMIS will consider:

● Academic background

● Evidence of extra-curricular interests and activities

● Commitment to making a positive contribution to the BMIS community.

● Service, leadership, or action within school life.

Scholarships are available year-round at BMIS, and students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities by applying throughout the year.
