Year 8 Computing: Integrating Applications

This term, Year 8 students have been developing their digital skills through an exciting project focused on Integrating Applications. The aim was to explore how different software tools can work together to support a single, creative outcome.
Students used a wide range of applications, including:
- Word-processing for planning and writing content
- Desktop Publishing (DTP) to create eye-catching layouts
- Spreadsheets for data handling and analysis
- Art and graphics software for designing logos and visuals
- Webpage authoring tools to bring everything together online
The project encouraged students to think critically about the strengths of each tool and how to combine them effectively. It also supported their problem-solving, design, and presentation skills.
