Year 6 Science

9th October 2025

In our Year 6 Science lessons, we’ve been exploring the heart and its vital role in the circulatory system — quite literally, our life’s blood! We’ve learnt the scientific names for the main blood vessels and discovered how blood travels around the body in an incredible continuous cycle. One of our most memorable moments was dissecting a real heart and pair of lungs to see this system up close. Later, we investigated how diet, exercise, and lifestyle choices — including the use of drugs — can affect the health of our bodies and our circulation.
