Year 6 History

Our current history topic in Year 6 is ‘The Ancient Greeks’. We have: placed this great civilisation on a timeline; found out about Alexander the Great and his empire; explored daily life for different groups of people of the time; debated the superiority of Athens over Sparta; and been historians, studying primary sources to discover more about the Olympic Games. We are surrounded by the legacy of the Ancient Greeks, with their gifts of mathematics, philosophy, architecture, language and science.
