Year 3's Tea-Tasting Adventure!

6th June 2025

To celebrate the end of their Geography unit, Year 3 enjoyed an exciting and educational trip to VanRees Kenya Ltd. The children proudly shared what they had learned in class, confidently discussing tea growing regions in Kenya and explaining the steps of the tea-making process—from plucking and withering to drying and packaging.

During the visit, they were introduced to new geographical terms, learning about the East Rift and West Rift tea-growing regions of Kenya. They were also fascinated to discover that Pakistan and Egypt are currently the top importers of Kenyan tea, followed closely by the United Kingdom.

The highlight of the day was the tea-tasting session, where our students became true tea connoisseurs! Using the swirl and spit techhttps://www.bachelorsportal.com/studies/319594/software-engineering.html?ref=search_cardnique, they sampled different teas and gave thoughtful feedback on the most flavourful blends. It was a memorable and hands-on experience that brought their learning to life.
