Year 3 News

24th January 2026

Year 3 have been delighted to be back at school and are well settled into the new term. We kicked things off with fun, challenging activities that got us thinking, working as a team and using clever tactics.

We also treated the Primary School to an exciting class assembly all about our History topic, the Vikings! It was brought to life with fantastic costumes, Viking helmets we created in Art using papier-mâché, and even our very own Viking longship, built using a variety of school materials.

In Maths, we are exploring angles, lines and shapes, while in Science we have begun an investigation into plants. In English, we are busy writing a newspaper report about the terrible ordeal Hansel and Gretel faced in the woods.

Lots of exciting learning is happening—look out for it showcased in the Year 3 classroom!
