Year 3 News: Exploring, Investigating, and Preparing for the Stage!

7th February 2025

This term, Year 3 has been busy with exciting learning adventures!

In English, we stepped into the world of journalism, reporting on the dramatic tale of Hansel and Gretel from different perspectives. Using speech marks and connectives, we recounted their harrowing encounter with the wicked witch—thankfully, there was a happy ending!

In Maths, we sharpened our multiplication and division skills, making connections between calculations and explaining our reasoning like mathematicians.

Our History lessons took us back in time to the Viking era, where we have been uncovering fascinating facts about these legendary explorers.

Meanwhile, in Science, we turned into budding botanists, investigating how flowering plants survive. From water transportation to plant survival experiments, we've been predicting, observing, and recording our findings with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Alongside all this, we are also working hard towards our LKS2 Production – Gladis Baker, Gladiator! The excitement is building, and we can’t wait to showcase our performance to you soon!
