What a Wonderful Start to the Early Years!

12th September 2025

The children have had a fantastic beginning to the term, learning and exploring through play both indoors and outdoors. They have been busy building train tracks, creating with loose parts, painting, enjoying playdough, solving puzzles, riding bikes, and cooking up delights in the mud kitchen—just to name a few!

We are excited to see how each child’s learning journey unfolds this term. In FS2, the children have been discovering the magic of rainbows and creating beautiful rainbow-inspired art. FS1 has been learning all about themselves and painting fantastic self-portraits. Meanwhile, our Crèche children have been exploring a wide range of interests, with the new train set proving to be a big favourite. They have also been learning to talk about and share their feelings.

Looking ahead, we have some exciting events planned this half term:

  • Friday 19th September – International Fairy Tea Party: children are invited to come dressed as fairies.
  • Monday 22nd September – Stay and Play: a chance for parents to join us and see what your children enjoy most at school.
  • Monday 29th September – Parent Workshop on Communication and Language in the Early Years, led by myself.
  • Wednesday 9th October – Nursery Rhyme Family Picnic to enjoy together with all the EYFS families.

We look forward to sharing these special moments with you and your children.
