Welcome to KS1

1st September 2023

A very warm welcome to the new academic year! Key Stage 1 students have made a wonderfully enthusiastic start to the new academic year and all children appear engaged and excited about being in their new year levels. Both Year 1 and Year 2 classes have settled into their new classrooms seamlessly and are already sinking their teeth into new learning tasks.

We are excited to welcome some new students to Key Stage 1 this year; Kizito in Year 1 and Elahi in Year 2, not to mention our new Year 2 teacher, Mrs Maina. Also, a big welcome back to Mollie who has rejoined us again in Year 1 after an extended spell in the UK.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions on Thursday afternoon. I hope the session was useful in allowing you to meet your child’s new teacher as well as getting an insight into the curriculum and classroom expectations for the year ahead.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all in advance for your continued support at home and we look forward to another successful year together in Key Stage 1.
