U-11 Cricket
The U11 cricket team produced a fantastic performance on Tuesday afternoon to overcome a strong Oshwal Academy team by five wickets. I was particularly pleased by the vast improvement in our bowling, with Abhinav Borthakur producing two fantastic overs that limited Oshwal to very few runs.
On the batting side, Malachi Rune and Jakes Pamba were unstoppable, both hitting several boundaries as we chased down Oshwal’s 35 runs with an over to spare.
Well done to all of the boys for the performance and team spirit shown throughout the match, you were a credit to the school.
Team: Jakes, Olive, Malachi, Adam, Rehan, Abhinav, Fidel, Karan and Tommaso
U-11 Rounders
The U11 Rounders team had a tough match against Oshwal Academy on Tuesday. Both teams have quite young players, but Oshwal definitely had the edge on some phenomenal batting which sent the ball miles and allowed their players to get round the pitch to score a rounder.
BMIS girls really improved their bowling this time, and gave away hardly any half-rounders from no-balls, which they were pleased about. The final score was 17:1, with Oshwal claiming the victory. Both teams showed really good sportsmanship and encouragement for their team mates, although our girls were obviously disappointed with the final score.
Next week we have two matches: Mombasa Academy at Home on Monday (rescheduled after the rain last week) and Light Academy on Tuesday. Please come along to watch and give them some encouragement.
U-16 Rounders
The Under 16 had a fantastic match on Tuesday against AKAM. Even though we lost by a few rounders we still played well. The scores were 17-141/2 to AKAM. The team worked well together and communicated well the captain for that match was Lana and she did a good job of supporting everyone, and thanks a lot to some of the U13 who came to help and support us at the match when we were 2 players down.
