The festival welcomed five schools from across the region, with seven teams taking part, creating a morning brimming with energy, teamwork, and exciting young talent. The pitches buzzed with fast-paced action from start to finish. Visiting coaches and parents praised the smooth organisation, highlighting the clear schedule and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere that made the event enjoyable for everyone. It was inspiring to see all the young players embrace the spirit of the game with enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and determination.
Our BMIS boys and girls displayed remarkable resilience, teamwork, and growth throughout the day. The boys played six matches, finishing with four draws, one win, and one loss, demonstrating increasing confidence and composure with each game. Across the festival, our U9 players improved noticeably in passing, positioning, and communication, working seamlessly as a team and supporting one another on and off the pitch. Special mention goes to Marthinus, Clara, Cleah, and Mohamed, whose standout performances showcased skill, focus, and unwavering commitment. Overall, it was a fantastic morning of hockey and a proud moment for our young players as they continue to develop their abilities and love for the game.
