The boys were geared up and ready for the game to take place, in spite of a little nervousness across the squad. The game started well, both teams fought hard to claim the ball and BMIS soaked up a lot of pressure from the opposition. The first quarter ended 0-1, after Jaffrey’s slotted in a well worked goal. In the second quarter, the boys again defended hard, but the ‘D’ got overcrowded and Jaffery managed to pop another goal into the net. By half time, the boys had worked incredibly hard, and their focus was to try to work on getting the ball out of the ‘D’ successfully. In the third quarter, the squad again defended extremely well, with grit and determination. Jaffery’s put away an extremely good tip in in the third quarter, a well deserved goal! There were some good phases of attack from BMIS with Ishmeer and Etienne making some lovely breaks down the right-hand side of the pitch. A few shots on goal were attempted, but BMIS couldn’t convert. Again, a fantastic effort from our defence, in particular Dev, Reuben and Veer. The last quarter ended 0-0, which posed the best phase of play from BMIS, and the boys should be very proud of themselves. Everyone worked so hard throughout the match, and never gave up. These boys truly understand that representing their school is an honour and a privilege. Well done boys Team PE are super proud of you today!
