U11 Boys Hockey Tournament Report

21st March 2026

Last Saturday, our U11 Boys Hockey team travelled to Kivikoni School to compete in their Annual Sports Tournament. Looking incredibly smart in their playing kits, the boys headed onto the pitch with high spirits and a ready-to-work attitude.

Their first match against the hosts, Kivikoni School, was a fast-paced encounter defined by grit and determination from both sides. Despite some relentless pressure and a series of truly fantastic saves by Alex in goal, Kivikoni eventually managed to find the back of the net. Our boys responded immediately with increased intensity, putting the Kivikoni defence under significant pressure and creating several clear shots on goal. Unfortunately, the ball just wouldn't cross the line, and the game ended in a narrow 1-0 defeat.

Next, the team faced a very strong Aga Khan 'A' side. BMIS started brilliantly, maintaining solid possession in attack and holding a firm defensive line throughout the opening half. However, as the pressure mounted, Aga Khan managed to strike with two quick goals. Our boys showed great character in their response, and the match grew even more exciting with a penalty shuffle occurring at both ends of the pitch. The final score was 3-1 to Aga Khan, but the scoreline doesn't quite capture the level of fight shown by our team.

Well done to the entire squad! Your approach to the tournament was fantastic, and the teamwork you displayed was a credit to the school.
