The French Learning Journey in Primary

24th January 2025

At Braeburn Mombasa International School, learning French is a gradual journey. Starting from Year 2, students engage in language games and fun activities. As they progress each year, they build their skills.

At the moment this term,

  • Year 6 students are working on 'passé composé,'
  • Year 5s are talking about themselves in more detail,
  • Year 4s are discussing leisure activities,
  • Year 3s are talking about their birthdays and dates,
  • Year 2s are learning about their family.

The goal is for students to achieve at least one level of the DELF Prim by the end of primary. We have the DELF exams on March 22nd, and I encourage parents to have their children attend revision sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays at lunchtime.

Thank you, and have a great weekend!
