The Amazing world of forces! (Physics)

26th September 2025

What would the situation be if there were no forces in nature? Chaotic, right?

Students have been exploring the fascinating world of Forces. Our Year 11 class focused on magnetic forces, investigating how magnets interact and observing the unique patterns formed when iron filings align with magnetic fields. Meanwhile, our Year 12 students studied Newton’s Laws of Motion, applying these fundamental principles to understand how forces govern movement and interactions of bodies/objects in the physical world. We delved into projectile motion, which encompasses application of the knowledge in the football world, playing golf and javelin.

The photos capture Year 11 students as they observe the striking patterns created by magnetic fields in action.
