South Africa Braeburn Hockey Tour

Settling in
As we flew to South Africa we stopped in Zambia to refuel and let people get off for other people to get on. When we took flight again and saw the most beautiful sights anyone could imagine! We also saw Victoria Falls on the way!! When we arrived in SA, it was about 3pm and pretty hot. There was an enormous comfort travel bus waiting for us. It was HUGE!! And so comfy!! On the way to the hotel, we passed a film studio. There was this ship outside and the guy sitting next to me said it was a scene from ONE PIECE. We saw Table Mountain on the way and visited some shops. The shops are SO NICE there!!! When we arrived at the hotel like 30 minutes later, it was considerably cold. We did completely nothing that day apart from swim and relax.
Match Time!!
We had five matches and one friendly match against another Braeburn school, The International School of Cape Town (ISCT). For the friendly, the boys played football because it was football season for ISCT, and the girls played hockey and won! The girls did really well, and by showing amazing skill and team work, we won four out of our six matches and drew the two matches. For the boys, they also did really well, winning one match, drawing in two and coming second in three.
Activities
For things to do on the different days we did some activities. We went to Table Mountain, so fun, yet so high!, we went to shopping centres, we bought so much stuff!!, we went to Robben Island and heard about the history, so sad, we went to Boulders beach, penguins were so adorable, and we went to Chapmans Peak, really high by the way. We had so much fun in SA!!!!
