6th December 2024
This year we spent the last two lessons of the last Wednesday of the term doing an inter-house Mathematics Competition. In fact, many of our students had the opportunity to challenge themselves with some of the same problem-solving questions we used in the BMIS Inter-school Mathematics Challenge that took place on March 5th last academic year.
This year our practical application of Maths activity included using trigonometry and building a clinometer to find the height of a cross on the school pillars. As not all our students are able to apply trigonometry, due to their age, we had some older Year 11 and 6th form students join teams with younger students to help them.

1st and 3rd place were Simba teams and 2nd place was a Chui team.
A big thank you to all the 6th form and Year 11 students who helped in the practical activity; and a special mention to Dwayne, Arnav, Ana and David Roy for their unwavering enthusiasm and leadership.
