Art can be created using nearly any medium; Artists use clay, charcoal, paint and ink to create their work. Artists like Andy Goldsworthy, a renowned British artist, though, use materials that are a little more unexpected. He works with found natural elements, and his work inspired Year 9 students who were able to create amazing ephemeral sculptures in their first lesson of 2020. They started by collecting natural materials from their immediate environment and went ahead to create their own layouts giving interesting themes to their work. The Art department cannot wait for the exciting art pieces the students will create in the course of the second term, and also to wish all the best to the Year 11 in their Mock Examination.
