28th February 2025
We have hit the ground running with another busy start to the half term and are looking forward to Book Week which kicks off on Monday morning, 3rd March with our book character parade, followed by a book sale and Book Character Bingo.
One of our Book Week challenges this year is to guess the Mystery Reader. The staff of BMIS have been caught reading and now it is your challenge to figure out who the mystery readers behind the book covers are. Look for small details like the title of the book; jewelry; pieces of clothing or accessories which might give you clues to who might be behind the book. The photos will be up in the Hall of Nations for the week, so grab an entry form from Miss Sabrina in the office and fill out as many names as you can. There will be a prize for the person who guesses all the Mystery Readers. Parents are welcome to participate and all entries must be handed in to Miss Sabrina by Friday home time. The winner will be announced next week.
Another challenge for all our avid readers is to get yourself photographed in an unusual way for the ‘Get Caught Reading’ challenge. Photos from across primary and secondary school are welcome and we challenge our young readers to catch their parents reading in interesting places or positions as well. Happy reading everyone and see you on Monday, dressed up as your favourite book character!
