Swimming Achievements

The MCSA competition held from February 7 to February 9, 2025, saw impressive performances across various age groups and categories. The swimmers demonstrated a mix of experience and determination, reflecting steady progress and room for improvement. Below is a breakdown of the results and individual performances:

Lloyd Y7

Lloyd participated in his first competitive meet and showed great promise, finishing with respectable times. His results include:

  • 50 Breast: 1:33.60 (13th place)
  • 50 Free: 53.60 (14th place)
  • 50 Back: 1:19.07 (8th place)

Lloyd handled the pressure well and showed solid technique.

Nathaniel Y7

Nathaniel also made his debut at this competition, and though he faced a few challenges, his results showed great potential. Notably, he demonstrated strength in the freestyle and backstroke:

  • 50 Breast: 1:11.23 (8th place)
  • 50 Free: 50.84 (12th place)
  • 50 Back: 1:18.62 (7th place)

Nathaniel displayed resilience and a good foundation in his strokes.

Ricky Y9

Ricky showed significant improvement, being his second competition and showcasing faster times across multiple events. His standout performances include:

  • 100 IM: 1:58.38 (3rd place)
  • 50 Breast: 1:07.41 (3rd place)
  • 100 Free: 1:33.69 (5th place)
  • 50 Free: 41.12 (4th place, improved by 6.99s)
  • 50 Back: 52.48 (3rd place)

Ricky’s progress is evident in his improved times, particularly in the 50 Free. His commitment to improvement and his consistent efforts are paying off, and he is on track for even better performances in the future.

Clara Y10

Clara showed solid performances:

  • 100 IM: 1:32.84 (4th place)
  • 50 Free: 34.41 (3rd place)
  • 200 IM: 3:21.41 (2nd place)
  • 50 Back: 44.49 (3rd place)
  • 50 Breast: 45.46 (1st place)
  • 50 Fly: 38.72 (2nd place)
  • 100 Free: 1:18.77 (3rd place)

Clara’s dedication is clear, and with focused training, she will continue to progress.

Jasmine Y5

Jasmine made a smooth transition to a new age category and performed admirably:

  • 100 IM: 1:35.77 (4th place)
  • 50 Breast: 47.72 (1st place)
  • 100 Free: 1:25.73 (6th place)
  • 200 Breast: 3:51.68 (5th place)

Jasmine’s performance is commendable, especially considering the age category change. Her victory in the 50 Breast is a testament to her hard work.

Imara Y7

Imara demonstrated steady progress:

  • 50 Free: 47.64 (2nd place)
  • 50 Back: 58.93 (3rd place)

Imara’s improvement in the 50 Free and 50 Back reflects her potential.
