Little Explorers: EYFS Stay and Play Success!

14th March 2026

Our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) classrooms were buzzing with excitement this week as we welcomed parents and carers for our latest Stay and Play session. It was wonderful to see our youngest learners so proud to show off their school environment and share their favourite activities with their families.

  • Literacy in Action: Families snuggled up for shared reading and got creative with story maps, bringing our favorite tales to life.
  • Phonics Fun: There was some fantastic teamwork on display during our CVC word-making stations, where children practiced blending sounds to build words.
  • Creative Minds: Our art corner was a splash of color, while the Lego and loose parts area saw some incredible engineering—from towering skyscrapers to intricate patterns.

These sessions are more than just fun; they are a vital way for parents to see how we learn through play. Whether it's developing fine motor skills with Lego or building vocabulary through storytelling, the engagement from parents makes a world of difference to the children’s confidence.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the morning so special. We can’t wait for the next one!
