KS5 Term 2 Highlights

27th March 2026

Sixth Form End of Term Reflection

This has been a particularly significant term, with a strong focus on final revision as our Year 12 and 13 students prepare for their upcoming AS and A-Level examinations, now just three weeks away. Across the Sixth Form, students have approached this period with determination attending revision sessions, consolidating their understanding, and supporting one another in readiness for this important stage in their academic journey.

Beyond their academic focus, our Sixth Form students have continued to play a central role in the wider life of the school through a range of student-led initiatives. The leadership shown by the team has been especially commendable. Under the guidance of our Head Boy and Head Girl, Poul and Aaliyah, the student leadership body has worked diligently to support school events and foster a positive Braeburn culture. As the Year 13s begin their final phase of preparation, we recognise the positive impact they have made, showing responsibility, initiative, and a strong sense of community.

It has been especially encouraging to see students take ownership of activities and demonstrate leadership in action:

  • The 6th form Mathematics students run engaging activities for the Braeburn Mombasa Interschool Maths Challenge, inspiring younger learners and promoting enthusiasm for the subject.
  • The Business students successfully organised and took the lead during Global Money Week, delivering insightful and interactive sessions that highlighted key financial concepts in a practical and accessible way.
  • The Debate Club, a student-driven initiative this term, has gone from strength to strength. This culminated in the Braeburn Mock Debate at the end of term, where students confidently showcased their developing Debating skills, public speaking, and critical thinking.

As we look ahead to the final term, our focus will remain on supporting students through this crucial examination period. All candidates are required to continue their revision with discipline and balance, making use of the support available to them.

We wish them all every success in the weeks ahead.
