As we bid farewell to another dynamic term, it is time to reflect on the whirlwind of activities that our Key Stage 4 students have experienced at Braeburn Mombasa. It has been a term filled with growth, achievement, and memorable moments, from academic challenges to extracurricular triumphs.
For our Year 11 students, the term started with a focus on preparation for their Mock examinations. With dedication and perseverance, they tackled these important assessments, laying the groundwork for their academic success. Following the examinations, students and their parents participated in results meetings with the Braeburn Group Careers advisor, charting a path forward for their future endeavours. The Year 12 students also sat for the AS Mock examinations recently and they too have a reason to smile as they chart their academic path.
Adding to the academic rigor, seven delegates from Key Stage 4 represented the school with pride and distinction at the East Africa Model United Nations (EAMUN) Conference. Held at the UN offices in Nairobi, this prestigious event provided our students with a platform to engage in debate as they discussed global issues, showcasing their leadership and diplomatic skills on an international stage.
Our Year 10 students once again demonstrated their prowess in mathematics, flying the Braeburn flag high at the Inter-School Maths tournament recently hosted by Braeburn Mombasa. Congratulations to Ana and Muhammed for their outstanding achievement, ranking 2nd in the competition. Your hard work and dedication truly paid off!
But it was not all about academics; our students also showcased their talents and sportsmanship at the recent inter-house swimming gala. Whether as swimmers representing their respective houses or as house captains and vice-captains, they exhibited teamwork, determination, and a competitive spirit, contributing to the overall success of the event.
And let us not forget the fun-filled Pie Day celebration, where laughter and friendly competition filled the air as everyone indulged in some light-hearted mathematical contests. It is moments like these that remind us of the importance of balance and enjoyment during our busy schedules.
While it has been a busy term, it was also been incredibly fulfilling and rewarding. We eagerly anticipate the adventures and opportunities that await us in the upcoming term. Until then, let us cherish the memories we have created and recharge for the exciting journey ahead as we expand our horizons
