A warm welcome back to term 3- and what a short but packed term we have ahead of us!
The highlight of this term for many of the KS2 children are the residential trips that will be heading out: Y3 and Y4 to Shimba Hills, Y5 to Tsavo East and Y6 to Sagana.
Our hard-working teams have already got exciting displays up and learning opportunities started for their brand new topics:
Year 3 are staying calm and learning all about tea! They will learn about rocks in their science lessons.
Year 4 will be finding out about liquids, solids and gases in science lessons and the Tudors will be reigning over their history lessons.
In Year 5, the Mayans will rule history lessons. Science lessons will revolve around materials and their properties and geography lessons will explore the world’s resources, examining the increasingly necessary renewable sources of energy.
Year 6 are getting stuck into some classification conundrums in science, while the Greeks are rocking our world in history. Our geography lessons will focus on coasts and rivers.
When you join us next week for ‘Lemonade & Learning’, you can have a look at and enjoy the wide variety of colourful displays and children’s work on show.
‘Inventions and Inventors’ is the topic for our Homework Project exhibition this term- we can’t wait to see all the fabulous ideas at our ‘Invention Convention’ in Week 9.
Get performance ready for Braeburn’s Got Talent in the final week and keep an eye on the BMIS app and WhatsApp group for updates and reminders for all of our upcoming events.
Have a great term.
