2nd September 2022
A warm hello and welcome back to school. KS2 are looking fresh, rested and raring to go! Things are already looking busy from Y3 through to Y6, as children either start, resume, or enter their final year, in KS2.
Year 3 are feeling the magnetic pull of science, and have a fantastic, interactive display right outside their door to attract you. Year 4 are starting their Kenya topic and digesting their learning in science lessons. Year 5 are getting wild with extreme weather and Year 6 are getting ready to be inspired by significant figures in Black History.
We really enjoyed showing you around our classrooms on Thursday, at our ‘Meet the Teacher’ event and I’m sure many of your questions and queries about the new school year have already been answered. Don’t forget to use your child’s diary to communicate, or drop us an email- we are always ready to listen and help.
Years 5 and 6 have been invited to write their applications to become Peer Mentors so please help them over the weekend to get their letters done; this is a great way for the children to take on more responsibility and demonstrate those important traits of commitment, maturity and being a role-model that we look for in our Prefects and Head Boy and Girl.
Finally, Years 5 and 6 will be starting to make preparations for their production of ‘Porridge’ next week- watch out for auditions! If you would like to help out with any aspect of the show (costumes, props, scenery etc.) please let me know on tracey.russell@braeburn.ac.ke. We would love to have you along for the exciting ride with us.
Have a great weekend.
