We are delighted to share what a fantastic start we have had in KS1 this academic year! The children have returned full of energy, enthusiasm, and curiosity, and it has been a joy to watch them settle into their learning routines.
Our Year 1 children have made an impressive adjustment to life in primary school. Moving from Early Years into the more structured primary schedule can be a big step, but they have embraced it with excitement and positivity. They are learning new skills every day, showing independence, and taking pride in their achievements. It is wonderful to see their eagerness to participate and their growing confidence as learners.
For our Year 2 children, we have noticed a sudden and encouraging growth. Now at the older edge of KS1, they are stepping into their role as leaders and role models for the younger pupils. Their maturity, responsibility, and academic progress are clear to see, and they are developing into reflective learners who are not only focused on their own success but are also supporting their peers. This is exactly what “Building Brilliance Together” is all about.
We are also very happy to welcome Ms. Diana Were as our new Year 1 class teacher. She has already bonded beautifully with her class, creating a warm, nurturing environment where children feel supported and inspired to learn. Her passion, creativity, and dedication are evident, and we are excited to see the wonderful impact she will continue to have on the Year 1 group. Together, she and her pupils are striving for success and contributing to the spirit of brilliance that defines KS1 this year.
As we move further into the term, we are confident that KS1 will continue to be a place where children grow in confidence, explore their talents, and develop a love for learning. We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to celebrating many more achievements together.
