KS1 News

2nd September 2022

A very warm welcome to the new academic year! There is a noticeable ‘buzz’ around Key Stage 1 at the moment with our children happy to reunite their classmates and keen to get back to learning after the extended break. Both classes have settled into their new classrooms seamlessly and are already sinking their teeth into new learning tasks.

A big thank you to everyone who attended the ‘Meet the Teacher’ sessions on Thursday afternoon. I hope the session was useful in allowing you to meet your child’s new teacher as well as getting an insight into the curriculum and classroom expectations for the year ahead.

We are excited to welcome some new students to Key Stage 1 this year…and some who have returned to BMIS! A big welcome to:

Year 1 - Garang De Mabior, George Rawlings, Hermann Seidel and Toma and Julie Bernstein

Year 2 - Adam and David Shpak

Thank you in advance for all of your support at home and we look forward to a wonderful year ahead!

Mr Buckley

Key Stage 1 Coordinator
