Kilifi Gold Triathlon

22nd September 2022

Interact club so far has been a very fun experience. I really enjoyed going on the trip for the Kilifi Gold Triathlon, which took us a long time to get there. When we reached we were briefed on what we had to do. After we were briefed the people arrived and before we knew we were giving people their packs.

During that time we were split up boys doing teams and girls doing individuals. There were 250 people taking part in the triathlon, which made us very exhausted. We were there for 5 hours. I liked interacting and helping the competitors. By the time we were done we were allowed to get food. Most of the food was mini but we enjoyed the chips. We then got gift bags that had a ton of stuff. My favourite were the crisps. By the time we left we had seen them cycling through the plantation. After a long day we got home safely.

The organisers were delighted to have our students in charge of the registration desk once again. This is what they had to say:

We had so many compliments about your team once again, they did absolutely brilliantly. Zero issues with the registration, your team did everything right. We would be delighted to have you guys back.

Well done to all students involved: Renisa, Jasmine, Kate, Tung’a, Imani, Max and Fidel N.

The funds raised during the KGT went to the Taylor Ashe Antivenom Foundation. https://www.eastafricanreptiles.com/
