Key Stage 4 and 5 Update:

10th January 2026

KS4

KS4 students have made a strong and purposeful start to Term 2. Year 10 students have seamlessly returned to their learning routines and are already demonstrating excellent study habits. Some have been observed using the library during break times to work independently, revise and collaborate responsibly with their peers, an encouraging sign of their growing academic maturity.

Year 11 students have commenced their mock examinations, which will continue over the next two weeks. This is a vital milestone, providing students with a realistic experience of the IGCSE environment. It will also help both students and teachers to identify specific areas for improvement before the final examinations. We encourage our candidates to maintain their focus and prioritise their well-being during this busy period.

To better support our students’ needs and interests, there may be a slight change to the morning registration activities. This is to ensure a more impactful start to the day. Furthermore, we are introducing lunchtime and after-school academic ‘Grade Up’ sessions specifically for Year 11. These targeted support sessions are designed to help students improve their performance and will begin immediately following the conclusion of their mock examinations.

We look forward to a productive term and appreciate your continued support in keeping our students motivated.

KS5

Welcome back to what promises to be a busy and rewarding term for our Key Stage 5 students! It has been wonderful to see our Sixth Formers return with such positive energy and focus.

Our A-level students are gearing up for an important milestone as they prepare for their Mock examinations starting this week. The anticipation and commitment we are seeing across year groups is truly encouraging. We urge all students to make full use of the resources available, seek guidance from their teachers, and stay organised as they work towards their goals during this crucial period.

Meanwhile, the BTEC students continue to show great determination as they progress through their coursework and assignments. We are extremely proud of the continued effort and resilience demonstrated across their subjects. Keep up the excellent work – your dedication does not go unnoticed!

As the demands of the term increase, A-level students are reminded that support is always available. Our teachers and mentors are on hand to help every step of the way. From supervised revision sessions, mentorship meetings, and Homework Club, to subject-specific support, we have a wide range of initiatives in place to ensure every student feels supported and confident.

We wish all our Key Stage 5 students the very best as they prepare for the upcoming Mock examinations and coursework deadlines. With focus, resilience, and the right support, we are confident this will be a productive and successful term for everyone. Here’s to a positive and enriching term ahead!
