Key Stage 2 News

16th September 2019

We have had an exciting start to the term. The children have settled down well and they are always keen to excel in all curriculum areas. In English, we have been exploring Aesop’s Fables. The children have taken part in role-play activities to problem solve scenarios in the fables. Role-playing these fables has helped develop their way of thinking as they try to identify the moral lessons behind the fables explored. The children have had the chance to experience the role of bully, victim, and trickster. Roleplay has given the children the chance to develop better friendship skills through cooperation, listening and turn-taking. We look forward to more of the same this year as we work to improve their language and movement skills, helping them understand different points of view, imagine the future and the past, and travel anywhere in the world and beyond.
