U14 Hockey Fixture vs Aga Khan
This week the Year 7, 8, and 9 students took to the hockey pitch to play against Aga Khan in their first fixture of the season. We were able to put out 2 mixed teams that matched Aga Khan’s teams. After very little training time due to lack of kit for one reason or another, the students that played worked hard and learnt from the experience. It was great to see the effort of each student to represent BMIS with determination to do their best. The final results were 2-2 and 1-1 in two very well fought games. KS3 have demonstrated that they have the kit to play, so let us continue to bring the right equipment to Games sessions and learn more about the tactics, structure and game play to move forward as a squad. Well done KS3!

U11 Hockey Fixture vs Aga Khan
The U11 boys have already had experience of a fixture this term, but for the girls, it was their first fixture of the season. Both squads fought hard throughout the fixture, with some great attacking and defensive play. Our structure and game play is improving as we gain more practice and this was clear to see. Both teams represented BMIS with a strong sense of determination to do well, and everyone worked hard on the pitch. Aga Khan had 2 very experienced players on the boys team, who were able to work the ball around our players and score some goals. In the girls match, BMIS tried their best to hold off Aga Khan to 0-1, but during the final play, they scored a second goal. The final results were a 0-2 loss for the girls and a 0-4 loss to the boys. However, our focus is not the score, it is ‘what have we done better than last time? And ‘How can we improve for next time?’ The U11’s are making progress, and learning from their experiences. Well done Year 5 & 6 for a better performance.
