FS2 Trip to Nguuni Sanctuary

14th November 2025

FS2 children went on a fascinating class trip to Nguuni Sanctuary in Mombasa. Right from the gate, they were excited to see the beautiful trees and enjoy the sights of nature. At the picnic site, the children had a wonderful time spotting different animals such as giraffes, tortoises, guinea fowls, ostriches, waterbucks, and oryx.

A friendly guide helped the children learn about the animals — sharing their names, what they eat, and how to tell the difference between male and female giraffes by looking at their patterns and height.

The baby ostriches were a delight to watch! The children were fascinated as they ran around, flapping their tiny wings and playing with each other. They also enjoyed watching the giraffes and ostriches being fed and were amazed to see how gently the animals ate.

Have a look at our lovely pictures from this exciting trip!
