Fluttering Fun: Our Trip to the Butterfly Pavilion!

21st March 2026

What a magical day! Our Pre-Creche and Creche explorers recently traded the classroom for a world of wings and wonder at the Butterfly Pavilion. Our little ones were absolute stars, showing curiosity and kindness toward some of nature’s smallest creatures.

What We Discovered

The children followed the incredible journey of a butterfly's life cycle through hands-on learning:

  • The Caterpillar Hunt: Our brave explorers helped "collect" caterpillars, learning how to be gentle and patient.
  • The Sleepy Pupa: We took a quiet look at the pupas (chrysalises), discussing how the caterpillars transform while they "sleep."
  • Taking Flight: The highlight of the day was the grand release, where the children watched with wide eyes as the butterflies they helped care for took their very first flights.

Teacher’s Proud Moments

We were so impressed by how well the children listened to the guides. They practiced their "quiet voices" so they wouldn't scare the insects and followed instructions beautifully during the release.

A huge shout out to the wonderful guides at the Butterfly Pavilion.

The children were very excited to also spot water bucks and giraffes on our visit.
