EYFS Sports Day

23rd May 2025

On Wednesday, 14th May, our Early Years children had a wonderful time demonstrating their fantastic sports skills to their families. It was a joy to see their enthusiasm and confidence as they took part in the various activities.

Each and every EYFS child was able to give their parents/carers an overview of what they have been learning through taking part in lots of different activities during the session. Fundamental movement skills were the basis for all of the children, along with hand-eye coordination. Each child was able to demonstrate the progress they have made since the start of the year. The importance of practicing movement and ball skills is crucial to children’s physical development, as well as practising everything using both sides of the body (throwing and catching with both hands, for example). An active child is a happy child both mentally and physically, and we know that our children love moving and being engaged with fun activities to help them learn.

Thank you to all parents and carers who came and supported their children, and to the children themselves who took part with energy, awesomeness and passion!

We look forward to more events in the future!
