EYFS News

31st March 2023

We have had a wonderful fun packed term of learning in the EYFS. We started this term with welcoming our Pre-Crèche class. The Crèche children enjoyed being the older students in their mixed class.

All the EYFS children have enjoyed taking care of our pets and garden this term. Through our garden they have been learning about how to care for animals and the environment, what animals and pets need, lifecycles and the importance of fruit and vegetables. The children are very excited that our tomatoes are growing. We are looking forward to eating some of them next term.

We have had a range of interesting topics from farm animals, trains and space in Pre-Crèche and Crèche. In FS1 they have looked at Doctors, flowers and rainbows. The FS2 busy bees have enjoyed learning about gardens, mapping and safaris.

We had a great ending to Week 12 in the Early Years. The children were happy to have ‘Stay and Play’. The parents stayed and enjoyed playing with their children. The children were happy to show their parents their favourite areas and activities. FS2 finished their topic of Fairy Tales with a Fairy Tale Ball. They went shopping yesterday and made cookies yesterday. Today they came to school dressed as Fairy Tale characters, made their snacks, played some fairy tale games and enjoyed some dancing.

Thank you to all our EYFS parents, we have a wonderful family and your support helps to create amazing learning opportunities and memories for our youngest students in the school.
