The Early Years children enjoyed participating in World Nursery Rhyme week. The nursery rhymes we looked at this week were:
Monday – The Big Ship Sails
Tuesday – 12345 Once I Caught a Fish Alive
Wednesday – 5 Little Speckled Frogs
Thursday – BINGO
Friday – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
The busy bees in FS2 were involved in a variety of different activities. They learnt about floating and sinking. They then had to make a boat from junk modelling material that could float. They sequenced the rhyme of 12345 Once I Caught a Fish Alive and produced some amazing multimedia art for the rhyme. They enjoyed some PE activities based on the 5 Little Speckled Frogs. Thursday gave them an opportunity to choose an activity from making a puzzle to colouring in. Fridays nursery rhyme once again, gave the children a chance to show what amazing artist they are. They produced another piece of multimedia art inspired by Eric Carle. It was a fun, busy and productive week in FS2.
