In week 1, we published an article introducing the Plastic Art Challenge organised by Alliance Francaise de Mombasa for the Mombasa Ocean Festival.
Students have been hard at work to create a piece they have enjoyed making and feel would represent the theme of the festival.
A team of dedicated secondary students met every lunchtime this first half of term to work under the guidance of Miss Onyango. Poul, Tasneem, Ciara, Renisa, Louise, Nicole and Jasmine brainstormed ideas, sketched their piece and used all the recycled material available. Their artwork will be delivered to Alliance Francaise during half-term, ready to be displayed for the exhibition starting Monday 5th June.
