At Braeburn Mombasa, our commitment to nurturing a love for languages, particularly French and Swahili, culminates in remarkable achievements.
We are thrilled to announce the stellar results of our students in the official international French exams, DELF (Diplôme d’Études en Langue Française), a prestigious qualification awarded by the French Ministry of Education and administered through Alliance Française.
This academic year, five of our dedicated students embraced the challenge of the official DELF French examinations.
Our three Primary learners bravely took part in the March DELF Prim session; these are Adam Shpak, Maria Vohl and David Shpak, while two High School students, Natalie Kimathi and Peter Muli confidently sat for the June DELF Junior session.
We are immensely proud to report that their results reflect true resilience, hard work, team spirit, and excellence; a powerful international validation of their growing mastery of the French language.
For our Primary students, DELF transcends a mere test;
It's a vibrant affirmation of their progress and a catalyst for lifelong language passion. It's about igniting confidence and cultivating an enduring love for learning. Through captivating animation stories with Madame Moulin, playful adventures with Jake and Bof the Dragon, engaging interactive games like noughts and crosses and immersive French language trips to Alliance Française.
French in Primary is a journey of exploration, imagination and unbridled joy.
We champion their courage with "Have a go!" and their faces light up with pride when we exclaim, "Très bien!"
For our High School students, DELF Junior offers a profound advantage. It seamlessly integrates with and powerfully reinforces their IGCSE French curriculum, providing structured and comprehensive exposure to the four crucial language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Beyond academic reinforcement, DELF equips them for authentic communication in French and bestows an internationally recognized qualification, a valuable asset that will undoubtedly propel their future academic and professional endeavors.
The DELF exam is not simply an assessment; it's a vibrant celebration of unwavering effort, remarkable perseverance, and the blossoming spirit of global citizenship. To every learner who received their DELF certificate, we extend our deepest admiration. We are incredibly proud of your exceptional achievement, your profound commitment, and the sheer joy you infuse into learning French. Your success is a luminous reflection of your diligent hard work and the vibrant, supportive learning community we have meticulously cultivated together.
Vive le français, vive nos étoiles montantes!
Long live French, long live our rising stars!
