What an amazing three weeks we've had in the Crèche!
We’ve had a wonderful first three weeks back at the Crèche, and the children have settled in beautifully. It's been heartwarming to see them dive back into their routines with such enthusiasm and joy.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been exploring the theme of “Around the World,” learning about different countries and cultures through stories, food, crafts, and hands-on activities. The children have shown so much curiosity and excitement as they discover new places and traditions.
This week, we focused on Belgium, and what a fantastic time we had! We learned about some of the country’s most delicious treats—chocolate, waffles, and French fries. The children especially enjoyed our French fry-themed art activity, where they created colourful artwork while learning about the ideas of “more” and “less.”
At our finger gym, the children had the opportunity to cut real potatoes to make their own French fries, developing their fine motor skills while having lots of fun!
We also explored Canada! The children had a great time doing a flag-making sticking activity, carefully placing the red maple leaf and coloured sections to create their very own Canadian flags. We looked at photos and talked about some of the exciting things you can find in Canada—like Niagara Falls, the Rocky Mountains, and amazing wildlife such as moose, beavers, and bears. The snowy Canadian landscape sparked lots of imagination, with the children pretending to build snowmen and go on chilly forest adventures.
Take a look at some of our photos to see just how much we’ve been enjoying our learning adventures!
