Braeburn Mombasa at the IAPS Young Programmers Competition

23rd May 2025

On Friday 16th May 2025, a team of enthusiastic young coders from Braeburn Mombasa took part in the IAPS Young Programmers Competition, hosted by Peponi House School in Nairobi. This exciting event brought together students from eight schools to explore the world of coding, robotics, and STEAM-based challenges.

Our Under 9 team, Adam, David, and Alexander from Year 4, flew to Nairobi on Thursday and stayed at Braeburn Garden Estate before returning home on Saturday evening after the event. The boys eagerly embraced a day packed with engaging and hands-on activities in robotics, programming, and creative construction.

Throughout the competition, our students demonstrated focus, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. They were fully engaged in every task and showed great enthusiasm as they navigated the educational challenges designed to stretch and inspire young minds.

The event was not only a competition but also a celebration of learning through innovation and play. We are incredibly proud of our young programmers for their dedication, teamwork, and curiosity. A fantastic experience for future tech giants in the making!
