On Saturday, 25th and Sunday, 26th, a talented group of BMIS students represented our school at the Mombasa County Swimming Association Junior Swimming Gala. The team comprised Clara, Alice, Ishmeer, Adanna, Zahra, Amina, George, Jasmine, Adam, Umulisa, Etienne, Freja, Clementine, Daisy, and Willa. Our swimmers put forth an outstanding performance, achieving personal best times in their individual races and making us all incredibly proud.
Highlights of the Event:
Among the many remarkable performances, two swimmers stood out: Daisy and Willa. Daisy showcased her exceptional talent by winning gold medals in both the 50 meters and 100 metres breaststroke events. She also secured a bronze medal in the 100 IM, demonstrating her versatility and skill across different strokes.
Willa also delivered a stellar performance, winning bronze medals in breaststroke, IM, and freestyle events. She further impressed by clinching a silver medal in the butterfly race, highlighting her prowess in this challenging stroke.
In addition to their individual successes, the mixed relay team of Adam, David, Willa, and Jasmine brought home a bronze medal, adding to the school's medal tally and showcasing the strength of our team spirit and coordination.
Celebrating Teamwork and Excellence:
The achievements at the Mombasa County Swimming Association Junior Swimming Gala are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship of our swimmers. Each team member's commitment to their training and their drive to excel were evident in their performances.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all our swimmers for their remarkable achievements. A special shout-out to Daisy and Willa for their medal-winning performances and to the mixed relay team for their success. Your efforts have made BMIS proud.
