BMIS Recycling partnership with Watamu Marine Association (WMA)

2nd October 2017

Mr Steve Trott, Watamu Marine Association Projets Development Manager, is looking forward to starting this initiative and exploring environmental and waste management education opportunities with our school.

BMIS has placed a large container at the exit gate where all the plastic can be dropped. It will then be taken up to Turtle Bay Hotel where WMA have a central storage depot.

Mr Trott explained that WMA can take any hard plastic containers i.e.  jik, ice cream tubs, jerry cans, water bottles, shampoo etc and they don’t have to be clean.

Please make sure that your hard plastic is tied together or placed in a large bag or box to make it easier to transport and to avoid it flying away on the school grounds.
