A Year of Growth Through Sport

5th July 2025

This year has been scattered with fixtures, tournaments, and sporting events that has made both Team PE, and the entire BMIS community incredibly proud. Each occasion has reminded us that improvement does not just come from the big moments, but from simply showing up, being present, putting in the effort, and staying committed. It is often in the quiet, unseen hours of practice and preparation that real progress is made.

We have watched athletes bounce back from setbacks, teams grow stronger through challenges, and individuals learn that failure is not something to fear, but a vital part of the learning process. It is in these moments, when things do not go to plan, that true character is revealed. Those who have thrived this year are the ones who embraced effort, remained positive through adversity, and viewed every obstacle as an opportunity to grow. These are not just sporting skills, they are life skills. And it is this that makes sport such a powerful platform for developing our young people.

Effort and enthusiasm have shone through in every activity, and it is this dedication that lays the foundation for future excellence. As we look ahead, let us carry these lessons with us. Let us remember that progress comes through perseverance, and that with the right mindset, we can continue to push our boundaries and reach new heights. Summum Appeto, as the Braeburn motto reminds us, we strive for the top.

Well done to every student who has given their all this year. You are the heartbeat of our sporting community, and we could not be prouder.
