The International French Week has provided a valuable opportunity for our students to experience learning beyond the classroom.
On Monday, 16th, our Year 7 and Year 9 students visited the port, where they had the unique privilege of touring a French Navy military ship. This was an enriching experience that allowed them to gain firsthand insight into real-world applications of their learning. They observed how languages interconnect with other subjects such as geography in navigation, IT in modern communication systems, mathematics, and the importance of teamwork. The students conducted themselves in an organised and collaborative manner, making the experience both meaningful and memorable.
On Thursday, our Year 8 students, who had completed their DELF Junior examinations, participated in a Francophonie Day filled with engaging activities. These included language-based tasks such as crosswords and quizzes on Francophone culture, as well as the much-enjoyed traditional game of pétanque.
The day concluded with a vibrant DELF awards ceremony, where our school was recognised as the best performing school in the DELF Prim examinations. Notably, we achieved a 100% success rate in both DELF Prim and DELF Junior, meaning that every student who sat for the exams passed successfully.
We are incredibly proud of our students. Each child is unique, and together, they have achieved outstanding success.
We are BMIS.
