All learners are expected to take part in at least one extra-curricular activity per week during each term. Our wide range of activities provide academic, physical, artistic and community opportunities in addition to the academic curriculum. The extra-curricular programme positively supports the development of the individual, their access to the current curriculum and their future prospects for study, work and as confident individuals and global citizens.
Our well-resourced classrooms are equipped with modern technologies and are designed to facilitate high level learning. There are extensive facilities on the school compound to provide academic, physical and artistic opportunities.
At BMIS we maximise opportunities for learners beyond the classroom. We believe that as well as enhancing their experiences, this helps them to develop into well-rounded individuals with a wide range of skills that will be of benefit in their future.
BMIS has a strong community ethos, where we actively encourage our parents and guardians to become part of the 'Braeburn family', creating friendships that will last across the miles and years.
At BMIS an open and honest home-school partnership is essential. Our home-school diaries, newsletters, and parents evenings help us to maintain a healthy relationship with the BMIS community. Our Friends of BMIS is a growing group with the aim of organising community and school events.
BMIS has a fleet of yellow school buses, allowing most of Mombasa and outlying districts to be covered by a convenient route to school. We also offer a late bus service to enable more learners to participate in after school activities. School transport is also used for organised trips and sporting events.
All BMIS students are required to wear a uniform.
