This term, our budding musicians have been busy honing their ensemble skills, and the results are simply amazing!
Over the past few weeks, students have been learning how to work together as a team to create beautiful music. They have discovered the importance of listening to one another and understanding their individual roles within an ensemble. Whether playing a melody, keeping the beat, or adding harmonies, each student has found their special place in the music-making process.
What have they learned?
- Teamwork: Music is all about collaboration! Students have learned how to communicate and support each other, ensuring that everyone’s part shines.
- Listening Skills: One of the biggest challenges—and rewards—of ensemble playing is listening carefully to each other. Our Year 7s have practised focusing on their peers’ sounds, which helps them stay in sync and enhance their performance.
- Confidence: As students practise their parts, they gain confidence in their abilities. It is inspiring to see them perform together, showcasing what they have worked so hard to achieve!
